We have a total hip machine at my local gym, but the desk jockey at reception couldn’t give me a demonstration or tell me much about it other than how to adjust a thing or two on it which I already knew. I ended up using it myself only to strain my knee and my hip. The instructions on it aren't straight forward at all, as it is quite a complex machine. It has four different inner thigh, hip, and buttock based exercises to it that you can't get on the other machines in our gym. Here is what it looks like, if anyone has any info on how to use it, it would be appreciated.



The gym I go to doesn't have a lower back extension bench, I've seen others use the seated calf machine as a lower back extension, and also I tried it myself yesterday, does anyone know if this is safe?
