| | | Uneven Pecs - I Need Advice I am a slim guy, maybe 135-140 pounds and I'm about 5'9. A year or so ago, I had no pec definition so I started doing push ups and my pecs built up a bit. I started working in a job where I was doing some lifting and it worked out my pecs at the bottom and although my pecs were small, they were almost "breast shaped". After I stopped working that job, I started doing some push ups again and I noticed that my left pec is fuller than my right. I tried to do different positions while doing push ups to even it out, but it didn't work. I feel pressure more in my right shoulder than my pec. Also, whenever I do push ups, my left pec always feel more worked out. I started working with dumb bells a few months ago and I try to work out the right more than the left to get it bigger but it didn't quite work.
My left pec feels and looks fuller than my right pec, but my right pec sticks out slightly more then my left pec. Also, my right pec seems more developed at the bottom so it looks lower than my left. The nipple on my right pec is lower than the one on my left. What can I do to even things out? |

| | | While i cannot help you i have the same problem BUT its not just the right pec that looks fuller and bigger... the bicep and tricep on that side are more full (only noticeable to me or someone who looks closely).... i assume everyone has a stronger bigger side...
I think it may show more if you're relatively thin.... if you all big and bulky and muscular it would not be as noticeable im thinking.
Also my pecs seem to have a slight breast shape too.. i dont know why as my body fat is low - i can see my abs.... cant help on that one?? maybe not enough upper pec development (there is actually an upper pec muscle which i'm not sure if its an entire separate muscle but its called the clavicular head which if developed more may even out the chest more???)
So in summary: to even things out.... do not do heavier weights on 1 side or focus more on it... do the same for both.... i reccomend using dumbbells and doing incline dumbbell bench pressing.... that should help i think - someone else will judge this advice for you. |

| | | I sorta agree with johnny, Dont train one more than the other, just keep lifting and lifting, they should even out. Try new exercises. What equipment do you have? |

| | | I don't have any equipment besides my dumb bells. They are only 10 pounds but so far, they are still working my muscles out. My body is extremly responsive when I work my muscles, so I don't work out a lot. The last time I worked out my chest, I did push ups and dumb bell bench presses and my chest was sore for a week. I want to work my chest out again, but I want to work on evening things out. I have a makeshift "bench" so I can't do any incline presses.

If so you NEED to be working the full body. If its mass, running will do nothing for your legs, you need proper lifts. If you are wanting more muscle mass, you need to start eating lots of high cal foods mate.
Just have a read round the forum anyway |

Just have a read round the forum anyway | Why do track runners always have nice legs then? I read that running will build the legs if it's followed by consuming protein. Yes, I want to fill my body out. |

Yes, I want to fill my body out. | Real runners do weight train, maybe not your recreational runner, but professionals do. Also, don't confuse low body fat with big muscles. Everyone has leg muscles that will be visible with a low enough body fat percentage. That's why they have "nice legs". | | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | | | Display Modes | Rate This Thread | Linear Mode | |
