1-2 gallons of water or milk a day is just fine and recommended for athletes. what your thinking of is called hyponatremia and that happens between 15-20 liters/ 4-6 gallons of water in a short time (depending on your weight). what happens is you develop A deficiency of sodium in the blood. a very painfull way to go

--freddy it's just fine to drink 1-2 gallons of milk a day if you are bulking. there are a number of articals that support this look around it's not hard to find.
-- Dom815 I did answer the question. "is it possible to drink too much water." you said, the answer was yes between 15-20 liters/ 4-6 gallons of water in a short time (depending on your weight). this condition is called hyponatremia.

ill agree with you that it probably wouldnt be very harmful. just consider that 2 gallons of milk is almost 400 grams of sugar.

ive seen articles that recommend drinking this much milk. but then again, ive seen articles that recommend workout programs that would have the normal, steriod free public out with an overuse injury in about 2 weeks. what is my point? i think, drinking that much milk, much like the workouts i just mentions works for a small group of people with the right kind of body, but would just make most people fat.

You can never get enough water in you. Yes there could be some issues if you try to drink that much all at one time. But since you are mainly made up of water and when you workout and do other activies you expend that water, of course you need to replace it. So to answer your questions, No, there is no problem drinking that much as long as it is throughout the day like you are doing.

I would have to agree that a plethora of milk is not for everyone, who is a bodybuilder of some kind. this topic could go on for a while and I don't want to jack this guys post so lets continue this later if it comes up agen.

2 gallons is not "too much" water. If you do end up over-doing it (over 4 gallons or more), you'll start to feel dizzy and confused, at which point, you belong in the ER

If you want to help your body burn more fat and clean out your liver and kidnies, add 4 ounces of UNSWEETEND, ORGANIC, cranberry juice to every 28 ounces of water. Just Crainberry is great, you can get it at most health food stores. Your liver when clean helps in the fat buring processes, it also hepls to get rid of water weight. I have been doing it for three weeks now and have lost 6 inches off my mid section.

are you that thirsty? maybe you should be checked by a dr? when i was nursing babies, they said that you could drink too much water and that it would cut the milk supply...but i've never heard that about an athlete.
