Hey,
I've recently decided to join
boxing again. But the problem is - I'm bulking.
I'm not going to doing any serious
boxing competitions any time soon so I don't need to worry about "making weight" or anything (I'll mostly just be training/developing skills for a year or two),
boxing is just something I enjoyed doing in the past and I've decided to join the gym again.
So anyway back to the point - I want to gain weight (majority of it being muscle) while I'm taking
boxing lessons, would this be ok or should I just wait until I hit my goal weight then just do regular strength training with the
boxing lessons (which will take a while)?
The routine I'm planning on starting is this:
Day 1
Jogging 30-45 mins (5 am)
2 hour
boxing session (5
pm-ish)
Day 2
Full body workout, reps 12 x 3 training for size.
Day 3
Jogging 30-45 mins (5 am)
2 hour
boxing session (5
pm-ish)
Day 4
Full body workout, reps 12 x 3 training for size.
Day 5
Jogging 30-45 mins (5 am)
2 hour
boxing session (5
pm-ish)
Day 6
Full body workout, reps 12 x 3 training for size.
Day 7
Break (might possibly include a little yoga, light nothing heavy)
do you think that would be alright or am I over-training?
Boxing lessons basically conist of:
shadow
boxing
punching bag
speed bag
ring training (dunno the term for that)
skipping
conditioning (pushups, crunches, leglifts, etc... light stuff)
