Weight Training & Heart Rate question
I was wondering if anyone has found alternating upper and lower body exercises while weight training to be effective? I have recently incorporated this into my workouts and find it keeps my heart rate up more than totally resting between sets, not to mention it saves a ton of time. I will do things like this: one set chest press, one set squats, repeat. My priority right now is to burn fat, but I also do cardio on other days. I am just wondering the pros/cons of this type of workout, and whether I may somehow be inhibiting my weight training. Thanks!

Another way of doing this would be to do opposing muscle groups - like biceps alternating with triceps. There's some kind of term for it but for the life of me I can't remember what it is.

Superset - also push/pull (bench press/bent row, overhead press/pullup), leg extensions/leg curls, leg press/SL Deadlift...any 2 exercises that do not target the same muscles
