Weight Training and staying fit/healthy question

Ok this is based on my logic so im hoping someone can tell me if its true or not

a muscular person, requires a caloric surplus then the average person in order to maintain their body and muscles, ie i remember watching a film on chuck ledell from ufc and he says he needs 4000 calories a day to maintain his shape

So lets say im the type of person thats quick to put on weight due to genetics, would it mean that the more muscular i am, the easier it is for me to stay in shape assuming i eating normal? because that would mean my body would leave less unused food that turns into fat....

I am going to re-word your question as I am not sure it makes any sense or get what you are asking. If this is the question here is the answer.

If you have more muscle can you eat more food to maintain your body shape?

Yes, that is if you are also maintaining the routine that got you there in the first place. Everyone caloric intake is different, once you hit your goal test out your caloric amount to see what works. If you aren't losing or gaining any weight then you are good to go.

Not if you are eating over your surplus. I get what you are saying and yes muscle makes your metabolism race and you can eat well...but you still can't eat over or you will just get fat. Muscle doesn't burn into fat, fat doesn't turn into muscle, the two don't share anything with each other. It doesn't matter if you have 5 pounds of muscle or 100, a caloric surplus is a surplus.
