Is working out every day bad?
i try to work out at least 6 times a week. people told me different things, like how i need to let my muscle rest and how they won't grow, then some other people told me how working out everyday isn't that bad because we use our primary muscle and secondary muscle since we don't'work out the same muscle everyday. my workout consist of 2 main body parts then abs and running at the end and stay at the gym for around hour in ahalf at least other times close to 3 hours. i do rest wen i feel i need to or when certain body part can take much pressure that day e.g lower back. i been working out, on average 6days a weeks for the past 3 months and feel like a mash potato wen i take more than a needed amount of time to recover. i just wanted some more opinions on this certain situation.
Well all those people are technically correct...
You DO want to let your body rest if it aches....but you can sometimes work out as much as you do. I work out about 5 days straight, and have weekends off. The switch up is good, it's what I do. But sometimes, (like today for me), you just need to give your body a break, signs are when you ache a lot.
It's hard to explain.....just.....punch her in the ****.
3 Hours a day, 6 times a week sounds like a bit much if your not on the OJ. I say post up your average 6 day routine, and we'd be able to judge a little better, but you're probably overtraining. It has a lot to do with how you feel, and if you're progrssing.
I have a belly button.
okay sounds good each major body part i spend on average 45mins; besides chest, abs usually 30mins if i need a brake form say my triceps or forearms i would do abs in the mean time, forearms 20-30mins and running is usually only for about 10-15 mins.
Mon-back shoulders abs forearms running
tues-tris bis abs running
wed- chest abs forearms running
thurs-back shoulds abs forearms running
fri-tris bis abs running
Sat-chest abs running
sun-back shoulders abs running
now thats is the working mind frame i have i don't fulfill it 100% i have school and other obligations so depending on my predicament, i take a day brake or some times work on one body major and run a little bit but i do try to do a full workount but commitments and lack of sleep do have a factor. but once i rest a day i take the work out i was suppose to do and move it over. wut do u think? OH and FYI i do rest wen i feel as though i am over working my muscles. u think doing abs everyday is bad?
Yes abs everyday is bad, and where is your leg day(s)?
HAHA lol i don't work out legs i guess i get that from running and walking everywhere.
Thats what I thought too.....when I was a n00bzor!!!! xD
No, you need to work out the legs. Regardless of what people think, running and walking DO NOT work out your legs.
Think of it this way. You've been walking on your legs as long as you can remember right? Well, thats not increasing any weight on them.
It's like lifting doing bicep curls with a pencil and saying "Oh it's fine, I work it out"
NOOOO SIREEEEBOB! I think SOMEONE needs a punch in the ****.
lol ouch! can u further elaborate? i'm not looking ot be a body builder or anything just wanted pretty nice for the summer. although i do believe if the pencil u lift were 5pounds and u lift them enough times with enough reps ur biceps would be cut up. lol but regardless u think trying to workout everyday w/ taking a day off wen really needed is bad?

Side story, on my first paintballing outting, I was shot in the *****. Point blank. When we barely got out of the car and began loading our guns. But, I'd rather have a welt on my ***** than a bruise on my balls.
