Well i wish i'd of been here with the right timing to discuss in time, but my time is now to comment.....
dig deeper man, DIG DEEP! I like this thought track...
it is what i am all about. the body will get tired,, dig deeper and the mind can push it further, but it is when the brain gets tired too, that the core of us, our spirit can step in, and call out... let's sacrifice the thoughts (forget the pain) and the body will tap into resources that we did not know about prior.
any time i press myself to this place i find so much more than i planned for... and then i come away with a whole new scope of potential. A new edge to be pushed and that my friend is the "THRILL"
the Thrill o the edge is in knowing it is actually the edge!!!
Extremem athletics, such as making a 7th, skydive, doing you rown packing, jump in a single day, or doing wind sprints until you blow chunks (and then just two more), or performing pushups thruoput the day until you can do no more than "just one more,, ok maybe a half of pushup",,, or pressing the mark with speed jump rope by doing it bare footed.,,,, or running a freeway rail, or, or , or or ,, it is a way of life, it is "the way" it is overcoming our environment.,,, it is parkour,
i can go on and on...
but bottom line....................
"Lost yesterday,
somewhere between sunrise and sunset,
two golden hours,
each set with 60 diamond minutes.
No reward is offered,
for they are gone forever."
Horace Mann
Time is one of the few things we cannot stop. We can stop all the clocks in our home, we can refuse to wear a watch, we can throw out all the calendars, however, time will continue to tick by.
Time is precious, yet too often we do not use it to our advantage. Nor do we appreciate it. Time cannot be captured and kept until we need it. It is today, this moment. Yesterday is long gone, and there are no guarantees we will see tomorrow. Today is what we have and how we use it determines our appreciation of time.
T...truthful about how you are using your time.
I...initiative - take it, rather than procrastinate.
M...manage your time, do not waste it.
E...efficient and effective use of your time will allow you to achieve more than you can imagine.
Think about this and how it is applicable to diet and training.
Next we have:
Albert Einstein:
The significant problems we face in life can not be solved at the same level of thinking we were at when we created them.
Laurence J. Peter:
There are two kinds of failures: those who thought and never did, and those who did and never thought.
Dr. Seuss:
Think left and think right and think low and think high. Oh, the thinks you can think up if only you try!
Robert H. Schuller:
It takes but one positive thought when given a chance to survive and thrive to overpower an entire army of negative thoughts.
William Penn:
No pain, no palm; no thorns, no throne; no gall, no glory; no cross, no crown.
Liane Cardes:
Continuous effort, not strength or intelligence is the key to unlocking our potential.
Don't Give Up Just Shy of Your Dreams
Don't give up short of your dreams -
A necessary skill for achieving that which you desire in your life is the ability to give the task at hand that one last go around. Often it is a matter of looking near defeat in the face, and just plain moving forward in spite of all the difficulties you're faced with!
Life has an incredible way of working out the details of our difficulties when we choose not to give up. Call it one of life's little mysteries. Personally, I call it my faith in action. Whatever you call it, it's one of your greatest allies in achievement.
So no matter what comes your way today,
tomorrow, next week, or next year for that matter
understand that you have in you what it takes to overcome it.
Cheers, I hope your day went well today, and all goals were met that you set.
