I saw Frank Zane at a bodybuilder contest in the mid 70s. I guess he was at or near his peak. He has not dropped off that much in the ensuing 30+ years. By comparison, Arnold has been eating way too many doughnuts in the Governor's Mansion in Sacramento...

I wish I could have went to one, Richard.

I read an article on his diet and training methods to get into that sort of physical shape in the picture. Its quite good. No supplements and no steroids according to him.

Yes, he has taken care of himself all these years. He looks a lot better than some persons in there prime.

He Rocks.

Best wishes

Hope your day is well, Richard. Peace, my friend.

Just got back from being called into work, on an electronic issue with some PC's.

Off to train in a few minutes.

Then its up at 4:45AM, and off to work, again, for a few hours. I should be done by 10AM or so, with what I have to do. One of them is setting up a B-day party surprise for a very good employee, and making sure the funds are available for it.

Peace to all. Hope everyone's day was good.

I will post the Thoughts for the day 2morrow!

Best wishes

Got home a bit ago, and off to get grandma's new dentures. We learned the other day, that her kidneys are shrinking and not functioning at 100%.

We go in again to see the specialist on Friday. For now, she has a list of foods that she is suppose to stay away from (believe it or not, most are veggies, and some fruit items), and foods that she can have. Quite interesting.

I will keep you posted on how this pans out. She is 76 years old, and 20 pounds overweight, and diabetic.

After I get back, I plan to train my lower, and do some cardiovascular activity.

Hope everyone's day is good!

Peace, my friends

As promised, I am posting updated pics of the:

Chocolate Cherry Hybrid

This plant produces 1 to 2 ounce medium dark chocolate (looking) tomatoes, that have a VERY unique tomato smokey taste. These are hard to find. I convinced Lowe's a couple of years ago, that if they would obtain a starter plant (or seeds) in this variety at about 6-8 inches in height, I would purchase about 25, each year (I give some to family, friends, and co-workers, and I keep two). They were great, and make sure they have them by the first week of April.

This is an indeterminate plant and averages 3 to 4 feet in height at maturity. Produces all summer long into early fall before frost. I am about three weeks out from maturity at this point (Approximately). I planted them early, I do not like waiting all summer for tomatoes.

Tomato plants though somewhat resilient, I still think they are wimpy asses. But this Chocolate Cherry plant is a very TOUGH plant: just a BRUTE.

I had a small problem with some tomato cut worms the last two weeks. Believe me these suckers (they are caterpillar like, and the leaves is like a buffet to them). I refuse to use insecticide, but I have a remedy: Liquid dish soap. I put some in a spray bottle, and the ****ers! slide right off, and then when I find them, I discard them. Other than this, I just pick them off, and look every day.

You seen the other pictures from early June (previous post), and these are the plants now. It is about 4 foot high by about 3 foot wide, and I expect it will get about 5 foot! It is growing ridiculous! I guess it likes the cow patties in the soil, lol.

Both are in 34 Quart white trash cans, that cost about 6 bucks:

First Plant:

Second Plant:(first one sort of blurry)

When I get a fully ripened cluster, I will show you what a: Chocolate Cherry looks like.

I am a hearty fresh veggie eater, and love it.

The Jet Star Hybrid Next.

Best wishes,

Chillen

I posted some of the Jet Star Hybrid earlier. The pot-size is holding back the height of the plant (which I will remedy next year), but is bushy, and though small is being a heavy, prolific producer:

This is a indeterminate tomato plant, and maturity is about 1 week away (65 days), is suppose to reach about 3 to 4 foot (its still growing), but I doubt it will get the high. I believe at this point it will be more bushy than big. This is okay, as long as it produces well, which is it is.

First plant:

One getting ripe!

Second Plant:

I had one off this plant already, and it is one sweet tasting MOFO!

The patios that I posted sometime back are doing well, and ripening their tomatoes at a very fast pace, and I am currently just swimming in golf ball size tomatoes. I probably have near 100 between both patio plants!

It is near its end though. It is a determinate plant, that ripens fruit all at once, and then dies. I expect about one more week or so, before its gone.

The Bush Goliath is next. This was planted later, and is behind the rest.

Best regards,

Chillen

The Bush Goliath Hybrid.

Determinate, though produces all summer, and tomatoes are supposed to be about 6 to 10 ounces. Grows to about 3/4 feet.

I planted this one very late, and its "several" weeks from maturity, and behind the others.

However, it is deciding to produce an overly large tomato, I would approximate at about 12 ounces. I took a pic of it, but the pic doesn't serve much justice to the size. The tomato is huge, and its the biggest I have among the others. And, the plant is only about 2 foot at present, and doing well:

This pic doesn't do the juicy little gem justice. I would approximate about 12 ounces (or 4 ounces from a pound), maybe I try to get a better pic later.

And a couple more cluster shots of the Chocolate Cherry Hybrid:

Okay, I am done posting my little babies. LOL. I just HATE store bought tomatoes, so I sort of go all out to get as many as I can during the summer, and into late fall, before I am forced to eat the tasteless store bought crap

Best wishes to all

All pictures were taken this morning when it was still dark. I usually get up, about 4:30 AM, when I am off work.

I like sitting on the patio in the very early AM, as the patio faces directly where the sun comes up, and watch the sun rise, sipping on a cup of hot coffee, while my family is sleeping, and "remember how lucky I am, and being very appreciative" with------just what I have, and I become complacent and personally content. Then I inspect the plants and water them. Sometimes, I will sit and watch the sun rise, while eating a fresh tomato from the vine.

Soon, it will be also fresh Watermelon, and cantaloupe.

There is something about the early morning. Its quiet. One can hear the birds singing, usually no wind, and just plain beautiful sitting among natural plants.

Peace everyone.

I'm doing great. I posted my pictures in the Photo Gallery to show my progress. I've come a long way since I last visited here. I'm still on the journey to a six pack though. I will never give up. I'm a lot closer to my goal today. Your plants are awesome. I know what you mean by those nutrition-less ones at the market. I just read up on all the fake stuff they put on the market nowadays. They lack proper nutrition values. Looking forward to your pics and videos.

I got up at about 5:00AM, sat on the Patio, sipping coffee, and watched the sun come up.

Saw a red cardinal sitting on the patio railing when I went out to the patio, and it didn't fly off when I sat in the chair. It had its back to me, but did turn around. Before it turned around we were friends. When it turned around, I saw a green tomato in its beak. I was disturbed, but it was natural nonetheless. It flew off in a tree near by happier than a lark with my small green chocolate tomato. I was surprised actually because normally, if birds eat berries (etc), they are usually ripe. Any hoot, I normally do not have a problem with them. For some reason, it gave me a sense of peace.

It was like the bird was saying:

"Uh, huh.....I got some of your shiaaat and I gonna to fly off with it and want you to see this first........watcha gonna do?" lol......

Examined my Chocolate Cherry tomato plants. They are simply ridiculous: BEASTS! I am getting impatient for them to ripen (), seeing all those clusters of tomatoes with 10 or more on them. These smoky-tomato tasting babies are good in salads, with SF/low-calorie tomato-bacon dressing. Very unique flavor. But, I regress, I have to grow up and wait, lol.

I couldn't be more happier for you, when I read that, Aim.

This is, in fact, an achievable goal for you. Put enough of you into its path, and its yours.

Thanks. I like watching plants grow from little infants (say a few inches tall) to bulking behemoths like the Chocolate Cherries, or from seed (like with the patios), into small brutes. Its sort of like us in fitness, feed the educational seed, germinate (execute the functions), and we grow and prosper.

I love taking care of them. I see to there need. Like I see to my own. Though we are obviously different biological entities, we have a lot in common.

I am in the process of taking them, and will be putting them up soon. to this very day, I am very surprised on how my aging body (nearing 48) is responding. I wish I had new this when I was in my prime. It "would have been" better. Do not let this happen to you, Aim. You have genetics left to discover.

Uncover it for the win.

Best wishes

wow go you, thats great!!

Can you give me some details on this?

The main issue with most woman, is there fat placement on the body (hips and thighs as a "general rule", with some exceptions of course).

BF is taken all over the body; however, the first two upper abs are the first to show, and most generally.....most generally, the easiest to get to show (and I say this with bated breath), as compared to the lower portion. This is an attainable goal for you, Jackie, but you MUST put the work in--mainly outside of the gym (the hours away where diet is the major player, if you see what I am saying), to compliment what you are doing in the gym (or exercising at home in your case).

I hope it gets better, Jackie. Sorry to hear that. Is it real bad? no no no need to worryHave you seen a doc? no need, its getting a lot better, its still there slightly, but its healing

Has your equipment availability changes since we last talked? Or is it about he same as before?nope

Give me some details on what you are doing with your diet, currently, and answer the question on equipment availability, and we can go from there.

er....... dunno what to say really, i was calorie counting, and macro counting, but i cant seem to get the carbs down to match the protein n fats, it was like: 90g protein, 60g fat and 150g carbs daily, i need more work in this area i know

You too.....thank you Jackie.

Best wishes,

Chillen
Heya chillen, hope i have answered some of your qs at least, sorry i cant be more detailed but i cant seem to settle lol

Will get back to you real soon, help me get em 2 pack abs man haha
