My friend has been working out for around for only 6-7 months.
We've been working out at different gyms so I don't see him often,
He's bragging that he's making some great gains, and he told me about some pills he's been taking. He said the product is called Stromba which also goes by the name Stanozolol.
When he said Stanozolol, it sounded familiar, like some kind of steroid. I looked it up on the net when I got home, and it's said that Stromba ( Stanozolol) is infact Winstrol a well known steroid.
I called him at told him that it's some serious stuff that's he's taking.
He said that his trainer instructed him to take it, in order to make quicker gains. He said that he's taking 3 times less that the recommended dosage, meaning, let's say you need 3 pills per day for optimal effects, he takes 1 pill per day.

I don't know much about gear, only the basic stuff, I want to know how dangerous this substance is, and are there any serious side-effects that might happen when using it? Should I be concerned about my friend and his well-being, how serious is this situation?

He'll prob shut down his HPTA, lose some hair, take a shot at his liver values, and maybe slightly enlarge his prostate. It's not gonna kill him, but it sure isn't smart.

if taking less than the recommended dose means he is taking less test than his own body produces it won't have much effect. You see, if you take for example test, your body will regulate down its own production. Anyways, any trainer who recommends steroids to someone with that little training experience doesn't know much of what he is talking about..

So if I got this right, Winstrol boosts Testosterone levels.
So I'm wondering after you take this drug will your Test levels be the same as before you started taking it, will it affect your test production in the long run.

No. Winny will shut off his natural testosterone production. Although it isn't testosterone, it does bind to the AR with high affinity and will initiate the negative feedback to the HPTA. Meaning, it will lower his test levels considerably, and then they'll slowly come back up, probably just under what they were when he began.

I see nothing wrong with steroid use, but i don't see why he would want to take it after only 7 months of lifting, he sure hasn't hit his genetic limit.

Is he atleast going to cycle?

I don't wanna judge, but it's too early to take steroids for him. He's very far from reaching his genetic potential, however what happens is, he wants to get big fast. He doesn't wanna do it gradually like everyone else. He wants to take a shortcut, that's why he's taking it.
I think he's only taking winstrol and some supplements, like whey protein and glutamine, that's all.

Tell him to read up on steroid cycles. If he's going to do gear he doesn't want to be stupid about it, he needs to cycle on and off it to reduce side effects unless he wants them to be permanent.
