Hey everyone,
On saturday, I was doing a Police PT test and I did well. My scores will arrive on tuesday. However, when I was doing the
pushups, I really pushed myself and after I was through I had a THROBBING headache! I told myself that this was simply because I was involved in a 3 hour workout, and I wasnt use to those conditions. I drank some water, ate something and eventually my headache went away.
But today at the gym, I decided to do some
pushups. My muscles arent fully healed and my legs are sore, so I decided not to push myself. I did about 10 slow pace
pushups when it felt like a bomb exploded in the right side/back of my head! It felt like I popped something. I havent the slightest idea what happened. I stopped working out, took some tylenol, ate something and now my head is a bit better.
Can anyone provide insight on my problem? What is going on here? Is it because I am still sore and did not give my muscles enough time to rest?
Ive done some research and several sources say thta "too much stress on the body can trigger a migraine." Also, they state such headaches as a "weightlifter's headache" which is an explosive headache caused by over-exertion.
Seeing is how I hardly ever get headaches, I believe my headache was due to over-exertion from the PT exercise on Saturday, Paintball on sunday and the workout today.
Thus I cancelled my martial arts class and plan to take it easy the rest of the day.
However, I still look forward to hearing from any of you. If anyone has had this happen to them or if anyone knows exactly what it is thats bothering me. Thanks
