Question Total White Out After Training

Hi - I'm looking for some advice on the training front please.

I'm pretty fit and do a lot of mountain biking. However, I've recently started spinning class and really going for it on 30 minute cycle into work a couple of times a week.

Not sure whether it is because these exercises are more intense/cardio focused that my ususal type of exercise but with couple of minutes of stopping, my face goes white, I feel faint/dizzy and hearing/sight goes fuzzy - this lasts for about half an hour and I usually feel completely wiped out the next day.

Any pointers on what could be causing this and how to avoid it would be great!

Thanks

what do you eat? stimulants? could also be a deficiency- ie:sugar, or H2O.

you should STOP doing that soon.

My diet is quite healthy and I've also started drinking energy (brand called torq) drinks during and (same brand) recovery drinks after exercise - but haven't made too much difference.

When you say I should "STOP" doing that soon - do you mean I that the symptoms should go away as I start training more often or do you mean I should stop doing the exercises?

Thanks

You should STOP doing the exercise if this persists. Thats great that you are eating a healthy diet, but are you getting in enough calories/carbs and water for such an intense endurance type workout? Also, maybe try laying off the energy drinks for a week or so and see if that helps. If you need the caffine try coffee instead. Recovery drinks are great but dont expect to see the same results with an enduranc/cardio based program as you would with a heavy lifting program. If all else fails....see a doctor.
