| | | you said you want to get rid of your love handles. That means you need to lose body fat. The only way to reduce body fat is to eat less calories than you need and exercise. Why do I need to be more specific? You said you want to tone your abs but that means nothing as 'toning' doesn't exist and is a concept made up to sell you something that doesn't work or try a diet that will fail. I figure since you want to lose your love handles, all you mean by tone your abs is make them show more, in which case all you need to do is lose body fat by eating a deficit and exercising...
If you want to get bigger you need to eat a surplus and lift weights a few times a week.
If you want your abs to be bigger, google 'crunch variations' or something and find a bunch of ab work you can do. Other than that, you gotta be more specific about your goals to get a mroe specific answer |

Ive been working out daily and i usually do a day of lifting and a day of abdominals. So what im saying is ive been doing various weight training, then the next day i would do crunches, elevated crunches, and bicycle crunches. I also like too throw in leg cruches (the ones that strengthen the lower abdominals.) Thank you for helping i appreciate it! |

| | | This guy says no carbs which is a way to lose the handles. But carbs are very important during training. You can substitute protien for carbs but excess protein intake has been shown to be more harmful than beneficial. But once you don't have those carbs your body will take it's energy from fat when protein stores run dry but it wil be very hard to exercise because of the lack of energy. soooo, it's your choice I say just work those abs and run and get those carbs! |

| | | Hey man, check out absecrets.com. It's not really a training program, but it does give some insight on your abs and how they work. If you're serious about changing the way you look, you obviously have to change the way you eat, and exercise. When I started really working out again after a long break, the first thing I did was quit drinking sodas. It might not do A LOT, but limiting yourself to things like water, gatorade, and juices really help your body function the way it's meant to. Another simple thing to do as far as diet is cut back on the junk food. I'm young like you, and I realize following diet plans are hard as crap because we can't always make grilled chicken and rice... so just cut back on the cheese burgers and stuff like that. Exercise wise, do some running (and I don't mean run for 5 minutes a day). Really commit to trying to run 30 minutes a day, 3 times a week. If you can't to that, start out smaller and work your way up. When you start losing body fat, you're going to be able to see your abdominal muscles better.
Anyways man, enough with the rambling. If you have any questions, feel free to ask. I don't know a ton but I enjoy doing stuff like this. Hope I was of some help. |

| | | Another thing to think about is that musclar work such as abs and weight lifting will make you bigger but really don't burn off the calories. For that you need aerobic exercise such as running or an activites where you consistently stress your cardiovascular system for at least 30 minutes straight.
By combining both you work your muscles and burn off the calories. |

Exercising while tired and lethargic due to a lack of bodily energy isn't the greatest idea. As well your body can only use the amount equivelent to 30% of your daily diet in protein, after that the excess protein is taken and changed to fat cell to be stored in the body for later use (or non-use). All excess nutrients that are not used are changed to fat cells for storage.
Also without carbs it is impossible to burn fat as carbohydrate is the start of the burning process. Carbs before and during exercise is a necessity but protein after help the muscles re-build.

Best wishes to ALL!

| | Your love handles aren't bad at all.
That's the good news.
A good, clean diet along with strength training and HIIT will get rid of them in no time.
There's more info on toning up those love handles here Best Waist Exercises to Get a Sexy, Sculpted Waistline!
Hope that helps. |

| | | Tired of reading the same #$%^&* Hey kid you are 16 years old, your hormones are thru the roof; but at this time you won't notice a big difference when you workout. This is because your bones are not fully grown (But they will; quicker than you think). Just keep working out and you will see changes after a few weeks.
I'm tired of reading people saying diet and exercise. Just take action and have patience.
I'm going to assume that you are healthy, and have a pair of dumbbells(DB) . If this is too hard just let me know. Also look for the exercises on you tube, make sure the video looks good and the technique is not bad.
Warm-up
Bodyweight squats 15reps done slowly (5seconds to lower your body 1second to stand up)
Push-ups 6-8reps make sure you learn how to do them right
jumping jacks or mountain climbers 20-30reps (work your way to more and more reps, not more than 50reps)
The first day has an emphasis on shoulders, but is still a totalbody workout
Workout day 1 6 simple exercises done as a super set by time not by reps
First super set perform 3 - 4 times
1a. DB Rumanian Death Lift (RDL) 45seconds
1minute rest
1b. Shoulder raises (alternate front and side) Use light weight for this one.
30seconds
1min rest
Second super set perform 3 to 4 times
Squat Jumps 45seconds
1min rest
DB Curl and Press 45seconds
1min rest
Third super set perform 3 - 4 times
Plank 20 - 60seconds (work your way to more time; not more than 60sec)
Side Plank 10 - 60seconds
Make sure you can be stable in this exercises, (use your abs) the true function of your abs is to stabilize your body. During this exercises have someone touch your higher, lower abs and obliques to make sure you are contracting them.
After this you can do any other exercise you want. Crunches any variation
I will post day 2 only if you want me to.
good luck kid
