But if not, don't worry too much about it.
As for the diet, this is probably more important for weight loss. You should probably read some of the sticky threads here (if you haven't yet) and start thinking about how to eat right.
I think that it is really important that you sit down with your parents and talk to them. You sound very mature. Tell them what you've told us: You are unhappy with being overweight, you know it is unhealthy, and you would like to make some changes in how you eat and how active you are. Explain to them how they can help you (e.g., by buying healthy foods that you've requested), and show your commitment by being willing to prepare your own lunches and help your parents prepare joint meals. You can also use this opportunity to tell them what kind of support & motivation you would find helpful, and what kind is not so helpful.
I think once you start this dialogue, you will realize how much it is your OWN motivation that spurs you. Do not drown yourself with negative thoughts! Everyone feels lazy sometimes. But you ARE acting! You are taking steps to improve your situation. Focus on the good you are doing, and how much that good can translate into real results. You have come here, and you have the strength in you to work hard toward your goals! | Great advice sig .......just a super post !
Sent a " + rep " your way !

It would be beneficial to post your goals and routine so others can comment and give you advice. |

| | | well the only advise I can give you for motivation is: weve all been pushed around, weve had our bullies make fun of us and hurt us in some way,and some of us have some sort of abuse that that happend to us or is still going on use the stuff that you hate people doing to your family or you and tern that hate into will power. thats all I got thats what I do.I honestly hate my father and got and still is being pushed around at school.By a little something called an MP3 player or an Ipod and download songs that unleash your inner anger.listen to the song while you work out. |

| | Ur on the rite track Hi im a personal trainer at FFF in Kanata , i have trained all kinds of athletes from MMA to fitness competitions .. i advise u to check out my site ., click on the video and let me know what you think .
I guarantee results and major boost to not just your motivation but your confidence as well .
For the running aspect part , i would suggest that totally because when you do run , you obviously loose fat overtime but the reason why it usually comes back to quick is because your constantly boosting your adrenaline and cortisol levels which make it hard to increase muscle which is clearly the fat burner in your body..
Anything or other tips you need , let me know i could definitely give you the motivation you keep fit and stay there . Kanata Health Club & Personal Training

James Elliott - Personal Trainer . jameselliott87@gmail.com | I thinks its fair to say, that is a spamming. We have MANY trainers on this site, I respect (mods, and regular members), NONE of them promote themselves and follow the rules and integrity of the forum.
If you PLAN to be a member--follow the rules.......remove your links, or I assure you they will be removed---rather quickly--I am fairly certain.
Then I wont THINK you STINK and watch you SINK while giving you a WINK
I think your dirtying, my friends thread--with a motive of self promotion rather a motive in assisting a forum member.

| | | I'm in a similiar situation to you mate.
I'm not overweight, but ever since I can remember my ribs have been horribly deformed (I'll post pics tomorrow). I'm skinny, and sit at 18.6 BMI. But I feel like if I put more muscle/meat on my chest that it would be less noticeable, and having a well defined 6/8 pack would cover up the parts of my ribs that look horrid to say the least.
I just think about that hot girl who flirts with me on the bus to and from school. And that's all the motivation I personally need. She is in a way a role model for me, but not in a "I want to be like her", because obviously I'm a guy.. I know I'd 100% go for it with her if I felt more comfortable with myself first.
From what you've posted, it sounds like your pritty open with your parents talking about you losing weight. Have a chat with them and ask them to buy more fruit etc instead of sweets. Maybe even get them involved with you exercising, 20 minutes walk a day one week, 25 the next, it all builds up and helps. Dont get dishearted by what people say about your appearance etc, take it to the chin and prove them wrong. Setting targets by dates has worked great for me aswell, it find something that your comfortable with, and most importantly enjoy it. |
