Question Running Questions???

I was wondering if it is alright for me to go on long runs of over ten miles every couple of weeks. I'm 13 but haven't hit me growth spurt yet.

Why do you want to go on long runs? I ask because you are in a very sensitive age with respect to developing coordination and motor skill.

Before we discuss the implications of going on long runs, we should start with why you are doing them.

I go on them for a number of reasons. #1. I do them for endurance traing. #2. I do them to prove to myself that I can. #3. I feel good after doing a long, hard workout.

Hope that's enough information.

Thanks for replying.
