| | Starting out.. need a bit of help Im 17, just turned few days ago. Im gonna try and start training up to summer before i go to greece. Im 135 pounds at 5'9. Here is a few pics so you guys can have an idea. How much do you guys think my bf% is. I know the pics are **** so ill just say that using those pics and consider that my abs barely show. http://img181.imageshack.us/img181/8161/777ua9.jpg http://img184.imageshack.us/img184/8365/688fx7.jpg
I know im not working with much, but can some body hook me up with a good routine. Should i do like 1 day chest and back, 1 day arms that sort of thing or what? I know i have to eat a lot more too. What areas should i focus on most (muscle group wise)? How many days should i train? Whey protein and the cost in Canada for it? |

| | | i pay about $40-$50 cdn for my protein ... u can pay as high as $80.
not sure what "look better" means tho ... bulk / tone?? you aren't in bad shape, so i would say just hit the gym with a straight workout. you don't need to go fancy with splits ... 3/week with a full body workout would be enough. |

| | | Don't focus on a certain muscle group like your arms/back etc.
Focus on form in your lifts and completing your workouts without cheating (using other muscles to help lift the weight). Your BF will probably be between 12-18% if I took a guess, you should get it measured though. |

| | | Do a workout that fits you best. If you have time to go the gym every other day and work on a select few muscle's per day, then why not. If you only have time to go the gym a few days a week you might want to go for a full body workout and do everything while your there. |

| | Do some reading (of the stickies and linked resources). The search function is your best friend.
3x/week full body to start, and most importantly, eat. A caloric surplus and some decent training will result in muscle gain. Fill out, then cut down and you'll have much more to show.
If you need help finding any relevant information, please feel free to ask. It's always better to do some reading and ask some questions than to just assume you know what you're doing, so good on you for that.
Good luck. |

| | | When you are starting out, a 3x a week, full body weight program is probably the best way forward.
Simplicity is always the best. You might want to give us a bit of info on the kind of equipment you have access to. There is no point in us writing out a program if you cant do half the exercise because you dont have access to the equipment. | | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | | | Display Modes | Rate This Thread | Linear Mode | |
