What makes potato chips unhealthy exactly?

I noticed most chips have about 10 grams of fat per serving, only 2-3 grams being saturated fat. So with each serving, you get 7-8 grams of healthy monounsaturated or polyunsaturated fats (correct me if I'm wrong), assuming no trans fats.

What exactly then is unhealthy about chips? I read one article saying that chips aren't unhealthy because of the fat, it's because of the high calories, but if I'm bulking, calories wouldn't be a bad thing right?

bulking and clean bulking are two different things, and a clean bulk results in less fat gained.

your assumption that bag'd chips have no trans fat is're not getting a lot of healthy fat in them.
    they are LOADED with salt.
    they are LOADED with preservatives.

they are HIGHLY processed. the more processed something is, the less 'good' it is for you. chips, hot dogs, boxed foods...are all among the worst stuff you can use for fuel to run your body.

yeah 10 grams of fat per serving but how many grams in a serving?

Also bad cos they are cooked in oil and they soak up a lot of the oil as they cook.
